Dads How To Do Your Daughters Hair
I have decided to start a regular weekly post just for Dads of Daughters. I know you feel a bit neglected in the lives of your daughters and I’m sorry to say, as they get older you will probably feel this a little bit more. Hopefully this regular segment can help you keep in touch with them and understand them just that little bit better.
Some Dads do hair…. and some Dads….well try….. and some Dads just don’t……..
I remember when Miss M and Miss E were 7 and 5 respectively and I was in hospital having Miss T. Mr Barbie was responsible for the morning school run, getting them up and dressed, breakfast, school lunches (although I know he wrote lunch orders) and yes the “school” hair!
Once I was home and everything was back to normal… or as normal as it ever is in our house. Everything “school” was handed back to me.
I remember being pulled aside by a lovely teacher at school as she explained to me that she was glad to have me back on “hair” duty, that way at least they knew that the “do” was going to stay in all day…. “at least he tried”, was the parting comment.
So how are you with hair?
Are you a regular plaiter that puts even the Frozen Hairstyles to shame?
Are you a master at the ponytail and can whip up a couple of pigtails with no problem?
Or do you just avoid the topic of “hair” altogether?
Maybe you have a unique and innovative way of doing your daughters hair…just like these dads….
In the end, it doesn’t really matter, when they are young they don’t really care and when they are old enough to care, they can probably do it better themselves.
Brush it and pop in a head band…simple, easy, done ……
