Stan TV Australia Review
I confess I am a bit of a homebody.
One luxury of having teenagers is they are rarely home. This means that your odds of scoring the TV are that much higher.
Last Saturday night , my two oldest girls were out and about. One at the Five Seconds Of Summer Concert, the other at a party and my two youngest were already tucked up in bed.
Mr B had a hellish week at work so he nicked off to bed early too, so for once that left little ole’ me in an extremely rare position of having some quality “me” time and importantly in charge of the TV remote….SCORE……!!
Recently we have been given the opportunity to trial Stan TV Australia and I must say the choices are endless.
Deciding what to watch has been the hardest decision.
Finally, now that I had the TV to myself, I settled down to give it a good spin.
Stan has you covered no matter what mood you are in, whether it be a teary chick flick, up if you are up for some suspense and action, need to find a good super hero or just need a little bit of romance in your life, the answers are at the touch of a button.
If you are a TV fan Stan can also help you there, everything from comedies like Little Britain and Come Fly With Me, Absolutely Fabulous to dramas like Twin Peaks, The Good Wife, Dexter and Oz.
For kids Stan has been a godsend they can watch everything from Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Shark Tale, Madagascar and the Lego Movie.
Stan has the kids covered with TV too. Dora the Explorer, Adventure Time, Powerpuff Girls, Spongebob Squarepants, Penguins of Madagascar and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, just to name a few.
The selection on Stan is far to extensive to list here, but suffice it to say that you are completely spoilt for choice.
So when I found myself in the completely unfamiliar position of having complete control over the TV remote I spent a good 20 minutes perusing most of the content, saving my choices for later and finally picking something to watch.
Ashton Kutcher and “Jobs” peaked my interest so I settled down, all by myself and the lounge to myself in the peace and quiet and a sneaky container of caramel popcorn ice cream.
I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it, the movie and the peace.
With school holidays coming up I know I have plenty of options to keep the kids entertained. It’s always chilly over these holidays and what could be better than snuggling under a cozy blanket and having a popcorn and movie day with the kids.
In the meantime if you think I am going to go all Rebel Wilson on you…then think again…..aint’ nobody gonna wanna see that!
Stan is available through the app store and right now you can take advantage of their free month long trial.
Watching Stan is even easier if you have an “Apple TV”, just select the app from the menu and away you go.
Just another tip, make sure you have enough internet data, cause you are going to need it!
Barbie Bieber and Beyond has been compensated for this review, all options expressed are entirely my own.
