Sodastream Review and Giveaway
Well summer is upon us and Santa will soon be squeezing his big butt down our chimney in just over a week, (well if we had a chimney).
We have already had a taste of what this summer has in store for us with temperatures soaring to unbearable levels all over the country and apparently it’s just going to get worse! Yuck.
Our new kitchen has just been completed and to say I am excited is a complete understatement! This has happened just before Christmas and just before our old kitchen finally disintegrated around our ears and more importantly before our old fridge could pack it in altogether.
Along with a new kitchen, of course there comes new appliances *squeals like a little girl* and yes, Santa has visited our household early.
Our new fridge is a work of art and includes an ice maker and a water dispenser. My aim for this summer is for the kids to drink a lot more water than they currently are.
The draw of the flash new fridge, is that getting that icy, cold glass of water has now turned into a new novelty, but water is still water and it won’t be long before they want to make that water, just a bit more interesting.
Recently we were asked to review a Sodastream, a home carbonation unit.
The Sodastream enables you to transform ordinary tap water into sparkling water in just seconds.
It looks so nice on our new counter top too.
Each Sodastream system comes with a carbonating bottle, which is safe and reusable. Using a Sodastream can save the average Australian family 2190 bottles and cans, over 3 years.
The Sodastream also comes with a refillable gas cylinder, which makes approximately 60L of bubbles. You can also just exchange your empty gas cylinder for a new one, at a reduced rate, from a variety of Australian retailers.
We all know that getting kids to drink plain water can sometimes be a chore, so Sodastream offers a variety of 40 flavours to make that glass of sparkling water just that little more interesting.
However for me, I added just add a slice of lime and it was the perfect refreshment on a hot day.
Like all kids my girls love fizzy drinks and me, like all parents, cringe at the thought of them indulging too much and ingesting too much sugar.
With far less sugar than your average soft drink, the Sodastreams’ health benefits are evident.
If your family loves carbonated drinks, a Sodastream really is the more economical way for you to satisfy them, it’s a load of fun too!
Our new Sodastream now has pride of place next to our coffee maker and I’m sure it will get tons of use over the next few steamy months once Summer starts to kick our butts.
If you want to experience the benefits of owning your very own Sodastream , I am giving away one Sodastream Power to a lucky reader of Barbie Bieber and Beyond.
