Well that’s Christmas over for another year…yet again….. I don’t know it seems each Christmas comes around way to fast.
We had a lovely day spent with family.
Christmas Eve was a busy one, there was lot’s of food shopping done (Mr Barbie took care of that for me).
And there was lot’s of gingerbread house making. The girls all paired off and tackled a house each. I think they looked great, they tasted even better!!
Then it was time for Santa’s snacks…. he was particularly thirsty this evening. In his defence it was rather hot and humid, so he was going to need all the rehydration he could get!
Another Christmas tradition our family loves is the annual Carols By Candelight, we turn up the TV loud, break up a Gingerbread House and I make my special Egg Nog, it has a great ‘kick’ to it!!
Christmas Day for us is all about family. The girls were quite sedate this year. Waking up at 6.20am to rip into their presents… then came the food……
Marmalade, brown sugar and orange juice Glazed Ham….just beautiful
Fresh Tiger Prawns
Cold Leg Ham
Asparagus, smoked salmon and avocado salad
These guys were excited to help with any leftovers!!
I hope your family had a wonderful Christmas……brace yourselves because next years’ Christmas countdown will be here before we know it……
How did your Christmas celebrations go?
